They are only a small fraction of Indonesia population, 10K out of 350 millions (0.003%). They are only villagers occupying no more than 5,000 hectares (12,000 acre) of territory. The villages, although reachable from the outside world, they are hidden in the remote jungle of Mt Kendeng. No easy access road, no good public transportation services, no hotel, no restaurant, no toilet. You will surely find uncomfortable situation if you ever visit the villages.
Then, how could such a terrible place be promoted as a tourist destination? What may it be the objects of tourism there, the people or the nature?

As a visitor, you may be interested in the people, the community with all their properties that you may not find them in your cultural background or you may wonder the nature and land where the people of Baduy live, which is just only another tropical rain forest. Whatever reason behind your aims of the travel, you may not afford if you cannot find even a place to 'pee.' Some people will not be bothered with that facts, but most of the travelers will complaint about the bad facilities. Surely most traveler will avoid such a place.
It is ridiculous to sell the place for tourism without any development in infrastructures that must support the tourism industry. Besides, is the Baduy of Indonesia, its Land, Nature and People marketable for tourism?
